Do you resist or fear trying something new, or do you crave it?
Some of us like staying with our routine, by that I don’t mean your morning routine or your weekly work routine. I mean we like doing the same Christmas meal every year, going on the same holiday every year, hanging out with just a certain group of friends, or maybe doing only a certain sport or eating a certain type of food.
You need to open your mind to new things, try out new things in life, it does require courage if you are unfamiliar with it and don’t know what the outcome may be. Studies suggest we fear an unknown outcome more than we do a known bad one. Just think about it…
Trying something new brings you millions of possibilities of enjoying new things, yes it will cause plenty of questions running through your head, but you might just find your passion or more hobbies. It helps you grow in so many ways and keeps you positive. Trying new things helped me find myself and that’s where I started writing.
Walt Disney said: “We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we’re curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.” And it’s so true, we should all be curious of new places and things.
Find someone who will try these new things with you and encourage you to try new things, someone who makes you a better person, and makes you stronger, find something you both enjoy as a hobby so that you can reconnect. You will never know what life might have for you until you try it.
